JUSTIN BIEBER ANNOUNCES HIS RETIREMENT( Video)

Wednesday, December 18, 2013

Justin Bieber recently announced to his fans that he will be retiring. On the L.A. radio station called Power 106, Bieber claimed his next album releasing next week will be his last. During theBig Boy’s Neighborhood show, the 19-year-old singer was asked what his plans are after his next album, Journals, is released in which he replied with “I’m actually retiring man, I’m retiring.”
Bieber entered a local singing competition called Stratford Idol at the age of 12. He walked away from the competition with second place. The young singer was so excited over his achievement; he decided he wanted to share the victory with loved ones. He began posting his singing videos on YouTube from the competition.
Soon after posting his singing videos, he began getting feedback from not only family and friends, but the public as well. People were subscribing to his videos at a fairly steady pace. It was then that he was discovered by his manager. Once his manager noticed Bieber’s videos, he contacted his family and just like that, he was signed.
A mere seven months after posting his videos online, the then 13-year-old star was flown to Atlanta, GA so he could meet with a few elite colleagues. But Bieber’s voice wasn’t the only thing marketable about him; the 13-year-old had taught himself to play the piano, trumpet, guitar, and drums.
Bieber recalls seeing Usher in the parking lot at the studio in Atlanta. Young Bieber was so star struck he offered to sing one of his songs for Usher. Usher declined, telling Bieber to come inside because of the cold. It didn’t take long for Usher to realize he was in the company of a soon to be superstar.
A week after the initial meeting, Usher flew Bieber back to Atlanta with the intentions of signing him. Bieber held back from signing at first because he still had a meeting to attend with Justin Timberlake. Timberlake was eager for Bieber to sign with them; unfortunately for him Usher’s deal was better.
Bieber was signed to Island Records in October of 2008. The debut album, My World gives an intimate looking in the mind of an emerging youthful renaissance man. Tricky Stewart, who helped to produce Umbrella for Rihanna and Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It) for BeyoncĂ©, produced Bieber’s first single called One Time.
Since becoming an international sensation, the public can see he loves the limelight. The fact that he announced he would be retiring shocked his fans although, Bieber hasn’t had the smoothest of rides. Aside from the drama between him and his on again/off again girlfriend, Selena Gomez, 2013 was not the best year for this singer. On a few occasions in 2013, Bieber was in trouble for sneaking in to bars and strip clubs that are meant for people over the legal drinking age.
Bieber was caught peeing in a mop bucket in a restaurant, he had allegedly cursed Bill Clinton out in a video where he sounds fairly intoxicated, and he was banned for life from a sky diving facility after not giving the promised publicity to the facility. Bieber was also accused of battery of his neighbor back in March after a confrontation. These are just some of the stunts Bieber pulled in 2013.
The 19-year-old has not done well in the public eye lately and is giving speculations as to whether this is the reason for retiring. A source claims that Bieber was kidding and claimed he had stated that by the end of the interview. Other than his announcement on Tuesday, the singer has yet to comment on his pending retirement.
